Let Me Walk Poem by Neela Nath Das

Let Me Walk

I want to wake up
From the nightmare of loss
Which death once brought in.
My hours have been taken away
By the hours of lament.
Oh! Life if you can't give me
The joy of union why do
You dare snatch my collected
Happiness which I picked up
Carefully under the shade of
My yard's old tree?
Nothing is giving balm
On my bereaved forehead.
Only, his appearance will
Calm down my soul.
Let me walk along the trodden path
Of my ancestors, my neighbours
And my dear lil brother.

Very touching. Can understand the profound sorrow that has gripped your heart and mind. Glad reading your beautiful poem after a long gap.10+++
