Not every night I can see the moon in the sky,
I’ve witnessed the eclipse once that only lasted a short while,
Most memorable sights never last that long,
So let me always witness your beautiful smile,

Not every night a star can be seen in the sky,
For me to touch a star I would have to travel billions of miles,
Some amazing sights in life would never be touched,
So let me feel the warmth from your bright smile,

Every night when I’m alone I look towards the sky,
Thinking about tomorrow makes life worthwhile,
Just the thought of seeing your face again gets me through the night,
So when I see you again let me see your loving smile.
