Let me be
even for a moment
before you close your eyes
your Commander-in-Chief
I promise you transparency
deep from within my heart
I promise I shall not fail
in providing visions of hope
my audacity is evident
my lingering hands
will nurture every cleavage
where weakness unfolds
wet with the substance of joy
as I offer this prayer
in the poetry of my soul
to be your Commander-in-Chief
forevermore. Love always.
