Let Love Bear Fruit

We want we seek we crave its kiss
Not few must then confess
That when its gone how much they miss
The warmth of love’s caress

Love’s a fountain its life’s true spring
A river to fill a sea
A tune to dance a song to sing
To Heaven’s door the key

Love is the plant from Heaven’s Seed
The kern of God on high
The fruit from which the world should feed
In order not to die

It causes cups to overflow
Saving a soul once cursed
Bubbling streams where’re we go
Quenching the world of thirst

Through Christ true love has been revealed
Upon death’s cross made plain
Within its realm and tightly sealed
We’ll live to live again

Does not God’s Lamb deserve our love?
Warrant our heartfelt praise?
Let sweet aroma rise above
Through each and all our days

To thirsty souls it’s morning dew
Life’s paper and its pen
Love’s the question the answer too
And Jesus Christ’s amen

When love becomes our breath of air
Our drink our daily meat
We’re precious jewels for God to share
With everyone we greet
