Let It Rain Poem by Marilyn Lott

Let It Rain

Rating: 4.8

It started with a little sprinkle
Dark clouds were rollin' in fast
The blue sky quickly changed
We were getting a storm at last

There was a loud crack of thunder
Sky darkening more by the minute
Folks scattering for cover
Too wet to stay out in it

Quickly the water gathered
Puddles filling up all around
Umbrellas popping up all over
The rain was a refreshing sound

Lightening flashed across the sky
Then a roar followed the light
Even though it was still early
It suddenly looked like night

But, of course, it won't last forever
Tomorrow it'll be back the same
But in the meantime I kinda like
The look, the sound and smell of rain!
