Let It Burn Poem by Jakob Joseph

It seems as if I given love a thousand tries, 

and a thousand times it failed, 

empty words filled with empty lies, 

but still this fire burns.



True love seems a hundred miles away,

but somehow just out of reach, 

this deception leads my heart astray, 

but still this fire burns,.

In my heart I know that I'm being strung along,

being dragged far from my path,

I've lost my sense of right and wrong,

but still this fire burns.



Someone already got the best, 

took everything I had to give,

in the process I left the rest,

but still this fire burns.

In the end these wounds will never heal, 

I was too weak to hold on,

I wished I was so numb I couldn't feel,

but still this fire burns,

Truth is I'm afraid Ill never find the one, 

but ill live my life with passion, 

and wont give up until its said and done, 

so ill let this fire burn.

It may burn me to the ground, 

it may bring me down, 

and I may never find love, 

but in the end ill let this fire burn.
