Let Bygone Be Bygones Poem by Francis Duggan

Let Bygone Be Bygones

To those i have sinned against of your forgiveness i beg
And you who have sinned against me you i do forgive
For what time I've got left i wish for peace with myself
Or in other words i want to live and let live.

Let bygones be bygone the past is the past
For my sins against others in karma i pay
And in the written word i now apologize
To all of those offended by me in some way.

I just want to live out what time I've got left
At peace with the World and with myself at peace
Far beyond the ego there is peace of soul
From self doubt, guilt and blame i just wish for release

And to live and let live and forget and forgive
And try to bring peace to my soul now in strife
And make peace with others and make peace with myself
I just want to enjoy the twilight of my life.
