Less For More Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Less For More

Less for more

Saw you when stirring your RV
-then stop…you and I
-side by side
-you had a passenger
-and spoke on your cell
-important were your eyes
-straight in front…
-not to road…
-neither to light or cars
-in mirror
-looking at you, yourself
-fixing your eyebrows and the paints
-to its base and surface with cream and powder

Your face was like the roads
-had ditches and patches
-with a range of the shades
-I felt sick with dislike
-turned my head, looked away

Deep inside I saw me want natural
-recalled mom
-"Beauty is not all;
-find a wife to enjoy
-her passion and her heart
-devotion and smile
-whenever you look, talk
-for sleep and wake up…"
-she was right…

Hey lady, day or night…
-time has come to get off
-from this ugly ride, which is false
-what you buy is only commercial
-dragons and the wolves are in Banks,
-on Bay and Time-Square they unite
-to use and abuse you in name of beauty…

Less you get my respect
-for the more you spend
-in buying cosmetics…
