Leopard Poem by Diana van den Berg

Leopard

The leopard is
on the prowl again
thin-hungry eyes,
lithe body stalking
with cat-sure moves,
hiding himself
along with his motives,
his prey blind-fooled,
and then the pounce
so sated for a while
but the spots remain.
