Lema Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lema

Lema

Yes of course it is you
I've played with letters
You know it so arrange
Pale are you; have lost weight
I looked and kept silent
'What is wrong? ' on my tongue
Not to ask; fought strong
And I won
Now apart, far away
Can you say: 'What is wrong? '

Sure of course
Don't repeat:
'Our life was...' such and such.
I know that.

'Like cargo were shifted...'
You're here.
'And they are retired.'
Thank God that
'They are no retarded.'

'I have child; he's seven...'
That too sure; I have heard.
'I must work, have them fed.'
Here I, keep silent:
'This is life; new way...'

Patriarchs and the faith
'These are what you complained.'
I have said and will say:
'Everything has a cost; for each gain there is loss.'
He had sex you mattress
Now you want, he's afraid
He beat and fed and hugged
Now away, he won't touch
'Love or hate...'
