Left Me To Burn Poem by Tim Vallie

Left Me To Burn

You've left me, you're gone, never to return
I died inside, I let my soul burn
It burned with anger, burned with rage
Burned with demons I once had kept caged
I thought I was stronger, thought I could cope
You proved my wrong, stole my only hope
Now I am left to rebuild with whatever is left
To build myself back up after your heinous theft
You stole my heart then you threw it away
In my mind it became my darkest day
But I have survived, and I will pull through
Time to rebuild in my new world, a world without you
