Left For Dead Poem by Priscilla Kittie Kay

Left For Dead

</>In the summer rain, I'll wait for you
I'll wait for your smile, your face, and your touch
I'll wait for your scent in the fresh morning dew
Until the day when you find yourself once more
I'll wait for the day when you realize that my love was true
And when that day comes
I'll get lost in your eyes, find grace in your touch, and see the beauty in your smile
And when the time comes, away we will run
Destined to be, but betrayed we will see
When lust taints our hearts, and truth haunts our dreams,
I'll wait for you as my rain turns red
And after that day, I'll lie in your bed
Until one of us is left for dead
