Leaving This Earth, Alone Poem by Name Withheld

Leaving This Earth, Alone

You held your future in your hands
It felt so powerful
After the pointless existence you led it seems right
You came into the world in a flash and you will in the same way
The steel is cold against your forehead
The good times are in your memory
But the exams still plague you
It will be fast and painless
The exam load has been eased a bit but it still hurts
End it now, finish it
Clasp the trigger
And then nothing
