Leaving Sorrow Poem by Annabel Cruz

Leaving Sorrow

Rating: 5.0

Holding my breath
At the bottom of the sea
Where I keep my secrets
In a treasure chest.
I have drowned Sorrow
In an ocean of regret,
Tied her firm
To that treasure chest.
I break the surface
And take a new breath,
Leaving Sorrow
Far below.

You have such an artful way of writing, that is refreshing and different. I love the image here too, of locking sorrow in a chest beneath the waves and surfacing like a new being..splendid idea too.

Wow, Annabel, I really like this one. Great idea to leave sorrow in the deepest depths of the oceans behind. I like the images used here. Very well written
