Leaves Of War Poem by Unintelligible Susurration

Leaves Of War

The deciduous tree liberates the leaf
Onto a field of wilted blossoms
Withered by putrid blood.

The dire leaf commences to disintegrate
Amongst the bloody stems

Evaporate at once unto the frolicking wind -
Let it wuther
And let the cycle begin again

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
While learning about the Civil War and other wars, I thought to myself 'What would it feel like to be a plant or leaf just watching the war? ' With this I proceeded to produce this poem about a leaf that falls onto a battlefield. It's a short poem therefore it's story is as well. But who knows. A short poem can have a novel for a story or a long poem can have a short story.
