Leaves; My Life's Reflection! Poem by rahul mandal

Leaves; My Life's Reflection!

Rating: 3.5

Do not stop me
My favorite leaf may have had fell,
I have to make haste
But nothing to air I can tell.

I stormed out,
Rode myself down that path,
Placed myself under that tree,
Having leaves bath.

While their journey towards the ground;
Some got ripped,
Some got blown away, astoundingly swift!
Some got run over by modern invention,
Some lingered around the tree,
Some scampered across the fence,
Some got stung by the bee.

I could not find her
Because I couldn't recognize;
Of all the leaves
She hadn't different shape and size.

And sadly I walked myself
Towards the car,
Who also helped me meet her fast?
When I was afar.

Rode myself at the view
Where no leaves were kissing ground,
Thin air wiped my brain
Leaving a question behind,
What would I have done,
Had her found?
When I am homeward bound?
