Leaves Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

'There is nothing more to say
for I know you're so far away
I just watched the skies for hours
and the shining moon and stars

my heart appears to be open
to the winds that has spoken
like leaves that sways and sings
and thoughts on pleasant things

this place seems to be wearing
a dark mantle and misty green
for the love that I am seeking
is hidden and cannot be seen

if the leaves had died and gone
and has fallen one by one
maybe the love I want to find
is the leaf that's in the ground.'
