Learning To Be Like Christ Poem by Dr John Celes

Learning To Be Like Christ

Love of the greatest kind –
Forgiving foes, you find;
Lord Jesus did the same;
For mankind’s sins, took blame.

To love your foe, can we,
Who hurt us immensely?
And yet, that’s what Christ said;
To forgiveness, we wed.

If God must forgive us,
We must forgive, not curse;
No one is perfect, wise;
We’re born with sin and vice.

But Christ had won the war
With devils, turning star;
We all can do likewise;
To neighbors, let’s be nice.
