Lazily Confused Poem by Adesola Tomilade

Lazily Confused

Rating: 3.5

You say you love me
A love deep from your heart
But I am lazy
Simply lazy to love

So I think to flee
Flee from your love
But I am lazy
Simply lazy to flee

It is a conflict
A war of Love and Flee
I am caught between this:
To love or to flee

But I am lazy
Simply lazy to love
For I am lazy
Simply lazy to flee

Which is moral?
To love or to flee?
But I am lazy
Simply lazy for thought.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Afterthought:
The troubles of emotions or inner feelings are really unbearable. sometimes, they can be so conflictory that we wish we are absolved of their responsibility... Yet we simply cannot push these emotions aside, because of course, they are part of us. So we become helpless when we are caught between these 'wars.' We want to flee, but we cannot, and we want to act on them, but we are too overwhelmed. We seem lazy.
Emotions... Who can know it?
