Laying With You Poem by Daniel Edward

Laying With You

i saw the pale light
as a cresant highlight
hugging your eyes
that gazed past me
through the slats of the binds
then to me
as the night outside
grew bolder
when the moon slid
above us in it's orbital track
and i invisioned
with an astrological approach
how it was we became what
we were
aries and pisces
ram and fish
you and i
and its clear
how the end of the
old zodical year
led me to you
to start again
laying entwined
with the covers
i can feel your breath on
my neck
as you exhale
and fall deeper into
your slumber
this is all like a quiet dream
shifting at
two hundred and eighty five
kilometers a second
