Lawyers' Pockets Poem by gershon hepner

Lawyers' Pockets

It will never be so cold
that lawyers have to run from dockets
whose value is as a good as gold
with hands in their handpicking pockets.

Inspired by an old Johnny Carson joke repeated to me by Jack Golbert.

When asked, “How cold was it? ' Johnny replied: “It was so cold that lawyers were running around with their hands in their own pockets.”
