Laughing Kisses Poem by Sean Joyce

Laughing Kisses

Rating: 5.0

Full frontal fraught
and back and forth
laughing kisses
smothered almost

We cling on
laughing too long
are overtaken
by events

We resolve next time
to take more time
we pledge the kiss
and the moment

yet even this
is lost in bliss
Lost in the love
of the moment

We laugh and kiss
oblivious
some moments
last forever

What’s done and said
on this tumbling bed
is what our future's
made of.
