Laugh Poem by Shruti Goswami

Laugh

You want me to laugh?
Want others to laugh too?
At the jokes that are so funny to you?
I am laughing, at myself and you
But I also do laugh,
At your mental penury,
At your lack of providence
At the way you make a joke
Of me and your feelings.

Hilarious indeed.

Do you know I laughed so much,
I couldn't stop crying?
I wanted to laugh so much more,
But then you ran out of new jokes,
And said the same old ones,
And I could laugh no more.

I like this a lot... it's always sad when something or someone becomes too familiar
