Lateness Poem by Sam Price

Lateness

Lateness,
I hate this.
Standing around,
With hardly any sound.
I wonder if they'll ever get here,
Ah, yes, that is my biggest fear.
That they'll never come,
What have I done?
Maybe I got the time wrong.
And I'm early
No, that cannot be.
Ten minutes have past,
I'm really going daft.
I'm standing at the gate,
I really hate being late.
