Latched Onto My Soul Poem by Alyssa Ray

Latched Onto My Soul

I told him
Let go
I am nothing special
And I never will be
He shook his head and spoke
You are special
But, I pushed him away
I wont let go
He whispered
As a tear rolled down his cheek
I appear to be latched
Onto your soul
I looked away
Well latch off
Because I'm done with your games
And as I left him there
Sitting on that park bench
I heard him just mearly sigh
I am latched
Onto your soul
My Love
