Last Night

I was a victim
Of some sort
I fell onto my bed
Like a log of rotten wood
Years scavenged by the elements
And long forgotten
At Kanyang virgin forest.
I was infected
By sleep's other brother
Half dead but now risen
From the toils of yesterday.
