Last Laugh Poem by Rich Reitz

Last Laugh

Rating: 3.5

I would welcome Death
As a release
From all earthly
Cares and worries.
A turning of a page,
The closing of a door.
A slow downward spiral.
A fading of the light,
As twilight sinks slowly
Into the shadows of night.
Yes, I would welcome Death
As a friend,
Unless...

The joke's on me!

I'm already dead
And this is all there is...
