Last Fight. Poem by Normal Girl Normal World

Last Fight.

Rating: 0.5

This is my final battle,
Here where I lie tonight.
The battle for control,
For life or for death.

One minute it feels like I'm winning,
Beating the strongest enemy I've faced.
The next I realise I'll never win,
For my enemy has claimed millions of lives before.

People all around me try to help,
But I see it in their eyes there's no hope.
This enemy has claimed another life.

This time it's my life,
And I will fight till the end.
I won't let go so easily,
I want my last fight to be remembered.

This is the hardest fight,
The only one I can't survive,
For I have no proper help.
This is my final battle,
Against the enemy we all call cancer.
