Last Chance Poem by Candy Simpson

Last Chance

Rating: 3.0

My mind is blank,
my body numb.
Who is this in the mirror looking back at me,
what have I allowed myself to become.
All my emotions drained,
my thoughts are scattered.
Been hurt too many times,
my heart broken and battered.
All hope is gone,
I've lost everything thats ever mattered.
I feel I have no future,
all my dreams shattered.
This is my last chance,
I'll give it all I've got.
Even if I die trying,
A failure is what I am not.
