Lantana Smile Poem by Juan Olivarez

Lantana Smile

Rating: 5.0

Lantana smile, out in the wild,
How does your garden grow?
In purple, yellow, orange, and pink,
Pretty maids all in a row.

Lantana smile, sweet lovely child,
You brighten each new day.
You let the sun come through the clouds,
Even when skies are grey.

Lantana smile, for a good long while,
As the sun sets in the west.
Through sunny days, and sultry nights,
Till summer breathes it's last.

Lantana smile, out in the wild,
Beneath the mesquite tree.
Round rainbow faces turned to the sky,
A radiant smile for me.
