Land Of The Dead Poem by Ryan Brodesser

Land Of The Dead

Welcome souls to the life that you now tread

A life after life here in the land of the dead

Feel a chill, beware sinners, soon to be damned

To life of unending pain, for the justice that must be had

Know nothing for that is the deed of the wise

As you view your new home with lifeless eyes.

Dead and abandoned wives with broken hearts

Drowned sailors who went off the written charts

Soldiers brave and mercenaries strong

Now all dead, to face the truth of their rights and wrongs

Whomever ye be, it is plain to see

Here, you have a place to belong, and a place to be

Oh sinners beware, this trail ends unwell for you

Alas! Watch helpless as those who pass, unharmed

Those who stayed pure and true

Feel the fire, and weep with tearful sorry at past contradictions

For all your sins, lies, treachery and maledictions

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I believe something awaits us, it could be only the afterlife, a place underground such as hades realm, or perhaps it is paradise. The golden kingdom, heaven or Valhalla. Whether you go there is up to you. Please review!
