Land Poem by Tanner Herndon

Land

Come, and waiver your
Red flag.
The flag you symbolize as 'love'.
S.O.S., you proclaim, when you
Start to drown;
Save our souls, you ask?
You decided to be the sailor
To sail on this vessel
Called Love, on a vast, dangerous
Ocean; Expansive in death and hurt.
Treachery, as well.
Love is not a cruise ship, or a tug boat.
Love is a war ship, loaded to the teeth
With killing weapons and ammo;
It's to keep one safe and feeling
Protected.
If you can't handle this, or you've
Yet to develop your Sea Legs,
I suggest you stay lubbingland,
Because this will do you only
Death.
With honors.
