Lake Buchanan Poem by Marilyn Lott

Lake Buchanan

There’s a place I’d like to share with you
Where the Prickly Pear blooms yellow
Waterfalls drape carelessly
And life is so sweet and mellow

A wonderful canoe lined river
Meanders along for miles and miles
Sunny days to float and enjoy
Why, it brings out so many smiles

The wonderful Lake Buchanan
It is the place that I’m talking of
And is in the state of Texas
It is enjoyed with a lot of love

Craggy cliffs and tree-lined hills
Adorn this special location as well
Nestled amongst the beauty of rock
Is where for years the waterfalls fell

I hope you too can visit the place
That make Texans so full of pride
Lake Buchanan is so lovely
It is where nature truly resides!
