every single girl
that I ever met
that owned a cat
has gone way
out of her way
to try and
convince me
(or herself?)
that her cat
wasn't like a cat at all,
wasn't like any cat that
you ever saw, in fact

and she knows that every girl, everywhere
says that
about their cat,
but in her cat's case
it's really, really, really true
in fact,
her cat is really more
like a dog

ladies? I'm here
to tell you,
that, no,
your cat
is just a
cat.

an arrogant,
self-centered,
condescending,
little fur ball.
(he said with tact)

just like that girl's cat is, and
just like that girl's cat is, and
just like that girl's cat is

sorry,
it's not a dog
it's just a
cat.
