Ladies Are Not Behind Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Ladies are not behind or lagging
They will not settle for less or go begging
Time and again they have proved their worth
The talent is available and there is no dearth

We call them mother with their high status
Status not of any standing but of great service
To the cause of mankind and humanity
God too has blessed from time to time such personalities

I pray and respect for departed mother
She lived for noble cause and died there
Millions shed tears for departed soul
Birds too cried along with the dreaded owl

With all her honesty and nobility
It was clear demonstration of her ability
Was she not gifted with all the divinity?
In the services of mankind with close affinity

Not in thousand but in countless years
We hear of great soul in our ears
I have heard stars falling from the sky
Never heard almighty sending emissary and try

He is great, yes, the greatest of all.
Whether we forget Him to pray or call
He is there for all the living or dead
Even if we fail to understand or read

Seers always stand tall in all the respect
We have to search soul and introspect
No great soul will descend from the heaven again
We are here to watch calmly and peacefully remain

All these years we have failed to understand
For slight reasons we have killed friends
God only knows how could we do it?
Path can be clearly seen even if road is dimly lit
