कृष्ण तुम जगन्नियंता हो, और हो मेरी मंज़िल भी,
तुम मेरी प्रार्थना सुनते हो और दुनिया से भी परिचित हो,
मुझे चाहिए जितना जो कुछ सदा मुझे दे देते हो,
किन्तु, इनसे हट कर जीवन में कुछ और दीजिये,
मुझे तुम्हारा मार्गदर्शन और बुद्धिमत्ता चाहिए,
हो जाए अदृश्य दृश्य जो राज्य तुम्हारा देख सकूँ
क्यों अपना याचक और दाता से आगे है संबंध नहीं?
क्यों इसे समझने की तुमने मुझको दी तौफ़ीक़ नहीं?
रहनुमा बनो, समझाओ मुझे मुझको क्या करना लाज़िम है,
तुम अगर मुझे बतला देते तो क्या मैं अमल नहीं करता?
इतने सारे पैगंबर, पर सब में क्यों अंतर्विरोध है,
सब नाम तुम्हारा ही लेते अपनी संतुष्टि के निमित्त,
मैं खुद ही से दुखी हुआ हूँ; हुआ लापता इतना,
कैसे जानूं बतलाओ है किस पर विश्वास मुझे करना?
You hear my prayer and know the world,
You always give me what I need,
But, I want more than just things to live,
I want your guidance and your wisdom,
See the unseen and know your kingdom,
Why is our relation to ask and give?
Why can't I be the one to hear?
Guide me, tell me what I should do,
Won't I do it, if I knew it was You?
So many prophets, so contradiction,
Using your name for gratification,
I am tired of myself; so much lost,
How do I know in what to trust?
