Korean Cicada (Regional) Poem by Ronald Chapman

Korean Cicada (Regional)

Where is the crazy cellphone?
Where is the old cellphone?

Hurting my ears!

August it's August,
Dog days of
Summer are here.

Where is the loud headache?

Buzzing! Clicking! Chirping!

Sleeping in lonely darkness,

Millions and millions awake,
Looking for lovers to take!
Humming their CICADA,
Overpowering love song,
Calling for a date!

Falling in hair,
Crunching under feet,
Husks stuck on trees.

All loud cellphones, desire clear earth.

I pray,
The loud cellphone battery dies quickly.

Please!
