Kobani Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Kobani

Kobani

I wish you could see too
Their claim: "God's with us."
Devoted men of, Hejaz and Genghis
Like them now, is ISIS

You and I are against
Do our eyes see like theirs?
I guessed no, am sure, not
They came up from the depth

"Who are they, where from? "
Then jet planes bombarded
"Don't worry, they're rounded."
We were told, with buts, yet...

Wrong or right they have won
They succeed with their minds
They see help, "From Allah"
They are foes, we are dumbs

My advice is simple
Let us look through their eyes
Who is right, who is wrong, is it us?
May be yes, maybe not,

In that way may peace come
"We want this; what they want."
Then we save thousands lives
Men, women, old and young
