Knocked Out Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Knocked Out

Rating: 4.0

Is it mine?
Or someone’s heart
I am holding in me?
I can’t find the pulse
In it when I see you
Loitering with slack paces
Around my garden
With blonde hair playing
Waves upon your meditating face;
Is it mine?
I mean the mind! !
Why does it no more wander?
In to the realm where
You and I sit holding
Each others hands through
The bright gloaming that
Came with majestic dance
Of silver clouds; and promise
To play with stars when
The light is gone in the earth;
Is it mine?
I mean the life! !
Am I living someone else’s?
Why does it no more feel
The pang when the moon
Promises not to wink at us
And I jump over the wall
To hold your face and play
With your lips with mine;
And you being shy run away
To that part of the dwelling
Where I can never go;
Why is it so?
