Kitten Poem by Leo Yankevich

Kitten

Rating: 5.0

The clouds are never quite the same.
This dusk they're mackerel with rooks
delighting far as the eye can see.
Yet here below, the same starved kitten,
(as I take out a bag of garbage) ,
behind a rusty iron gate,
waits for its tiny sachet of food.
