Kite Dreams Poem by Alfred Ramos

Kite Dreams

Rating: 5.0

Don’t let the tail get tangled
Squeezing the dreams that dangled
In the wind its face fluttered
Listen closely as it stuttered
In its lifeline we created a knot
We pulled away and it becomes taut
Unheard echoes sidestep reason
A force in one sweep we face a gale of treason
Yet you tug to send us in a spiraling duel
Dismissing the consequences the harder you pull
You run with an angry wind showing resistance
Shaking off all shapes of our existence
Love has no detours into endless skies
Like a kite thrown into a careless wind it cries
