Kisses Poem by francesca zumbo

Kisses

Rating: 5.0

There is no right or wrong,
Only opinions
Will rule this earth.

Don’t psychoanalyze me
I had a fine childhood
Maybe if we spent more time looking inward
We wouldn’t always be pointing the finger
If we weren’t so afraid of our true desires
Freedom would be all ours
But repression locks tight on our heavy tongues
We drool over what we don’t have
Becoming prisoners of what we want
Or want to be
Leaving our human bodies
Alone to tumble in the wind
Our souls walk their shadow-less peak
Meet me tomorrow morning
So I can see your silhouette against the sun
I want to touch your skin just so I know it’s real.
