Kiss Me Please Poem by Svanhildur Njálsdóttir

Kiss Me Please

Kiss me please
under a falling star
a dying sun
kiss me please
in the flowery meadows
stretching out to fantasy
kiss me please
while blossoms fall
from the tree above
kiss me please
at the alter
while rice is thrown
kiss me please
over a cup
of morning coffee
kiss me please
on the porch
of our dream house
kiss me please
with my last breath
lips to dying old lips
Kiss me please
in the life
Here after
Kiss me please
and save me
from this lonely noose
