Kiss Me For A Reason

Pasting your succulent tongue against my mouth
Has brought me out of the wilderness of doubt
Tasting with a burning rage of fire
To quench my thirst of desire

I want to be kissed for a reason
And not just for the sake of kissing
But for a reason that depicts
Strongly your real feelings

For that tongue of yours
I know have kissed many
For which am one
But who will be chosen?

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.
