जगायचे होते उरलेले दिवस
तुझ्या रेशमी केसांच्या सावलीत,
स्वप्न रंगवायचे होते तुझ्या सोबत
गायचे होते प्रेमाचे मधुर संगीत.

माझ्या गुंतलेल्या जीवनाला अर्थ दिला होतास तू
हरवलेल्या ला मार्ग दाखवला होतास तू
मी गुंतलो होतो जीवनाच्या कोड्यामधे,
तू आलीस अन् लहर आली माझ्या स्वप्नामध्ये.

पण पोहु शकलो एवढे अश्रू दिलेस तू मला
जहाजाला किनारा दाखवून बुडवलेस तू त्याला.....


Translation:

I wanted to spend the rest of my life
under the shade of your long brown hair,
I wanted to add color to my dreams
with you by my side I did dare.

I was entangled in my life
you had shown me the way out,
I had been a vagabond
you were my rescuer beyond doubt.

But you gave me umpteen tears that in it I could swim
My life's ship sunk at the shore at your own whim...
