Give me a reason,
For you being angry at me,
Don't I give you enough attention?
Or is it 'cos I spend time with Marie?

Answer those questions,
Then we can make progress,
Look, I'll be straight with you,
'Cos I know this is giving you stress.

Marie and I are just good friends,
We have been since childhood,
She helped a brother out,
When no one else would.

That's when we became close,
Seriously though, there is nothing between us,
Yet no matter what I say, when I come home,
You just scream and cuss.

What do I have to do?
I haven't seen Marie in years,
Still some nights I come home,
And your sitting on the sofa in tears.

Just tell me what's wrong?
Then maybe we can sort this out,
I tell you this now,
It's you who I can't live without.

'I love you
there's no one like you around
I just don't want to lose you
Someone who treats a girl right
That's who I've found'

'Don't you think that it's really hard,
To see you go out every night
As usual I think the worst
That's why when you cvome back, We fight'

There's nothing going on between,
Me and my friend Marie,
That's what I've been trying to tell you,
That's what I've been trying to make you see.

We'll hrlp each other out here,
We'll power through,
'Cos as far as I can see,
There's you and only you.

Let's just take things slow,
One step at a time,
Then we'll be okay,
Then we'll be fine,

So come on,
What do you say?
I know we can work through this,
'Darling, forever in your arms...I'll stay'.

'From your side I'll never sway
I'll never want to part
Just treasure what I'm about to give you
'Cos it's the key to my loving heart'

What true love can really be
