Keep Me In Your Days (Only Me)

Is it true
You have forgotten our secret place
Somewhere we have buried letters about us
Our names and many dreams in a glass bottle
By our old promise, we marked in hearts to find it someday
Just can't find it back when everything now is forgotten by you

Is it true
You have forgotten my name
Slowly it fading then be gone
Erased from your mind
Left unwritten in a blank page
Like it never written in your mind before

Innocent years were built with thousand promises
When old days still too young
We believed forever be together
Then we ran and holding breath
Shouted to the wind with your name
While you wrote my name on the sand
Wish I living all the old life again
Knowing you still remember how to write my name

Is it true
My presence pain you endlessly
Wish you keep me in your days
But if its true as what you said
Erase me now and I'll be okay
Because i am not living to hurt you
It just my cruel wishes to live the aging past

It's true, i am telling you
I don't need you to show me the way
For me tracing where we've buried the dreams
The bottle that keep our old days alive is found
Smashed and the letters we wrote together inside...
I've burned all to let ashes write in the air
Copying the written papers with our names
And every dreams and our written promises
Burnt...gone...left no more for you to relearn
No more for you to spell my name
Or to remember the old you
Never again
I am for you

No water will kill this fire in my heart
Burned more with these fallen tears
Written names and childish dream gone
Gone as flying ashes when the wind blows
But the fire still flaming in me
As I buried all in my memories
Still keeping you in my days
Where i will always can find
Whenever i want it be there
and to not be forgotten

Past is still breathing
As memories living within me
Even you
Never keep me in your days

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Listened to a song today
Then I remember some days with my good old friends...
Its like we wrote the dreams and names and put it into a bottle and wish it someday that when we grown up and we trace back our dream and to find what we have achieved and what still haven't...but hurt at the ebd

It brought me back to the smiles and about three of us
To remember then cry later...story of three happy friends
I lost first one because of the cancer when we so little
Lost another one when times changed someone's mind
Left another one..me, someone i will never lose
and the one who still struggling living in the memories
We never again stand as three but I'm strong alone as me

Memories are deep but one should grow having it as a base. A true emergence of character is evolved swallowing the hard memories within oneself. Great thought is flowing. (Report) Reply

A lovely expression of lost love & likings. Though the memories are fading still they remain as smoulders.......loved it (Report) Reply

Very touching poem, brought tears in my eyes: '(....
anguish dilemma of our lives hidden inside memories..
    nice poem regarding memories, memories are always special;
sometimes we laugh by remembering the days we cried n sometimes we cry by remembering the days we laughed, that's life: -) (Report) Reply

very poignant. sometimes our pasts are like the scourge on our memories or our minds.so the best thing is just let them go.every one is born alone and will die alone.

Burned more with the fallen tears
Need no words to remind your names
Not even our childish dream written in paper

Love the days fallen, but still flowers shine in our soul (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
