Kajaki Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Kajaki

Kajaki

I slept next to dam and was fun…
Heard her waves and bluffs
(Baseless most, many lies)
Of its fish: "It is large, in meters."

It is fun to listen to the kids;
Ignorant, unaware, nationalist…

River runs across line
Afghanistan and Iran.

Politics are dirty, are imposed
Regardless of the roots
External, internal,
Doubtlessly are ugly and dirty.

We are a single worm but are cut
Both of us are alive and crawl.
I believe in return to be one
The border to me is line of dust
Was imposed by Russ-o-Britain
To have peace among them …
Needed zone, walked on us…
Now a guest to my host; bluffer,
In my eyes a blood-brother not neighbour…

Why two shahs, presidents?
Afghan shah needed help
Liberty travelled everywhere:
"USA, USA, USA, "
Came plans of this dam
But dirty and too mean, one sided
And never could it end
No, never…
The water collected is only
Used to make heroin and opium
USA, USA, USA,
Must rethink of dagger
Squeezed to our side
Wounded hearts of the world
Include the Russ-o-Britain.
