Just Simplify Thee Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Just Simplify Thee

for so many years
I carried a cross
and abruptly uttered
how I did not know
what each soul
should speak and
all was indeed fine...
what evil had defined
in broad daylight;
it to be
one's purse of memories
hidden in silence and heart
time spent alone
and lost with words
related to heresy,
declaring informally
benign thoughts
of the moments
I was enrobed
and rudely felt
the relationship
god had felt,
and suddenly,
the words made sense
as if total strangers
neatly scribbled
the memories on
my bloodless heart
the words were,
just simplify thee!
like an eraser,
rubbing away ink or lead
till now, toil
your mind's furrows
one by one,
get this task done
shouting at the same time
these three words
of informality
like three brutal
serial killers
which robbed me
and stabbed me
continually for all
those many years
a road so long,
spent with words in mind
no one to travel
through time with
and time remained silent
it would have
been better
had I bartered
that deal with
my older brother…
had paved an
easier path between
these three words,
and world's end
knowing, you
cannot be forever
but I can;
knew it for sure
after that third morning
when he, of his,
had him in me
and the three of US
were at once all together
in opened,
heartfelt reality
in the flesh, totally
on the rise
to complete spirituality
of this world
I was no more
in all sincerity,
I clearly
flew up and home
for what else to say,
than I am that man
I am meant to be
from conception,
these three words
suddenly, make sense to me.
just simplify thee…
or speak this
three times rapidly
her three throes
hearts, minds, and souls
had him under control
his of her belied he
was him to her seed
he had her greed
he could never cede
he to her she
they were we
his heart thrice freed
you are those three
her after he/she
are you he…
say what?
