Just Passing Poem by Green Leaf

Just Passing

It’s out, and it’s hot.
The new generation of puppets to be.
Pledging allegiance to a life of mirage.
No direction, no intervention and no clarity.

One day alive, the other denied, we swing in this life.
Don’t want to get dirty, don’t want the involvement,
But pseudo one, if possible…
None.

We crave for a purpose, a path and a role, we might not admit it,
But that’s what our beings need.
Rebellious ones, at first glance we are,
Yet, without involvement there is no true freedom,
But alienation and discontent.

Afraid to be hurt, we hide in our being,
Identity pauses feed discontent.
Unhappy we are, deep down we all are,
Serenity’s gone from womb and from childhood.

They took it away, by feeding too much,
Distorted illusions of life and its wonders.

We watched the experience we haven’t experienced!
And now it’s too much…..
Too much…… to have brave thoughts without interference.

However in doubt, I hope we’ll awake,
From lingering lives, into active ones.
To fight for a cause a purpose, a role,
That brings in existence fulfillment and joy,
Not only for us but all that we care for.
